Windows xp Disabled features

This content may seem useless for the people who are already an expert, it will be very useful for some others.

Some people may be facing the problem of some features in their windows XP disabled by the administrator. This problem is not because of administrator who disabled, it's because of some virus. No need to worry about, follow the steps for solving ur problems.

1. Go to start->run.

2. In run type "gpedit.msc" and click ok button. (gpedit is nothing but group policy edit). It is a tool for administering system and security policies on your computer.

3. "Group policy" window will open.

4. In "Group policy" window navigate to "User Configuration->Administrative Templates" there u can find several sub categories like control panel, desktop, network...etc.

5. Use the corresponding category to change the settings. For example to enable the disabled "taskmanager"

* Go to "User Configuration->Administrative Templates->System->Ctrl+Alt+Del Options"
* Double click on "Prevent access to the registry editing tools" on the right pane of the window and select "Disabled radio button".

6. This is useful to enable various features disabled by the virus and showing as disabled by the administrator. Example of another use is to enable the "control panel" which be disabled some time.
